Feedback form is now closed.
Description:
Microsoft caused quite a wave in the end-user computing community with the announcement of Windows 365 Cloud PC (formerly Project Deschutes) at the 2021 Inspire keynote. So what is Win365? VDI as a Service? Azure Virtual Desktop dumbed down? This session will provide not only a breakdown of what Windows 365 is (and isn't) but also some lessons learned in implementation and use of Cloud PC in the real world. Just like the classic board game, we'll learn how to avoid the pitfalls that can prevent it from being successful (chutes) and take advantage of what Cloud PC does well (ladders). We'll also cover the differences between Windows 365 and AVD, and dive into how to manage Windows 365 in Microsoft Endpoint Manager alongside your other Windows devices. Fun for all ages is assured!

What you will learn:
  • Primer on VDI and the differences between AVD and Win365
  • Understanding of what Win365 is today and where it's goind
  • Tips for successful implementation
  • Trouble spots to avoid in implementation
